These are unprecedented times for non-profit organizations such as the Sumter County Gallery of Art. COVID-19 has darkened our doors and silence reigns throughout the galleries and classrooms. The SCGA family sends our thoughts and concern to your families and loved ones.
The Sumter County Gallery of Art is a noble building pulsing with history, but you, our patrons, are the true heart of our institution. We are all facing challenges – financial worry, health, loneliness. We struggle together as a community, and we will come out of this #SumterStronger. We look forward to the day we can reopen our doors and welcome you, our friends, once more. You are truly missed.
Right now our most important goal is retaining our wonderful staff: Cole Miller, Catherine “Cat” Lloyd, Jeannette Pryor, and Brittan Tawfall. SCGA is nothing without them. We’ve all been busy behind the scenes to ensure virtual access to our current exhibitions and information about upcoming events, and to ensure a smooth return to our new normal in the weeks and months ahead.
If you are able to make a gift to help the Gallery, it is easy to do so using the Donate button below to make possible our continued efforts to bring the arts to Sumter County. You can also call us at 803-775-0543 to make a gift over the phone.
