AM Classes (9:00 until Noon)
Fun in the Mud with Amanda Cox (4-8)
A perennial favorite, this introductory pottery class for the very young will allow students to explore different kinds of clay, the pottery wheel, hand building objects and colorful glazes. Students will make all sorts of pottery and fantastic creatures to be treasured for years to come.
Print It! Stamp It! Stomp It! with Cynthia Hall (4-8)
Students will have the opportunity to explore many methods of printmaking. Our young artists will design and create their own stamps, producing multiple prints and explore mark-making with everyday and found objects!
PM Classes (1:00 until 4:00)
Creative Painting with Connie Brennan (8 & up)
Artist Connie Brennan will lead students in this exploration of painting with a twist. Using a variety of techniques including creating texture, incorporating precise stencils and combining color, students will create vivid dreamscapes populated by butterflies, angels, lizards and rich flora.
Claymation 101 with Lexi Melton (9 & up)
Lexi Melton returns for another session of this popular and fun class. Young artists will explore the fascinating process of claymation, a form of stop-motion animation, to make their own short films. Using a variety of materials such as armatures, fabric and, of course, clay and creating their own storyline, students will flex their creative muscles.
